At News Armour, we are committed to publishing accurate, honest, and trustworthy content. We understand that despite rigorous editorial checks, errors may occasionally occur. When they do, we act swiftly and transparently to correct them.
This Corrections Policy outlines how we handle factual inaccuracies, editorial updates, and user feedback, including the responsible use of AI tools in our content improvement process.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
- We strive to ensure every article published is factually correct, well-sourced, and clearly written.
- If an error is identified—internally or by a reader—we aim to verify, correct, and clarify it as quickly as possible.
- Corrections are handled in a way that maintains the transparency and integrity of the original piece.
Types of Corrections We Make
1. Factual Corrections
If a story contains incorrect facts, such as wrong statistics, names, places, or dates, we-
- Correct the information promptly
- Add a “Correction Note” at the end of the article explaining what was changed
- Include the date of the correction
2. Minor Edits
For small changes that do not impact meaning (e.g., grammar, spelling, formatting), we –
- Edit silently without a formal correction notice
- Still ensure that edits are reviewed and documented internally
3. Significant Updates
When an article is updated due to new developments or a need for added context, we –
- Label the article as “Updated”
- Include a brief summary of the change and the timestamp
4. Full Retractions
In rare cases where an article contains serious, uncorrectable inaccuracies or ethical issues, we may-
- Retract the article
- Publish a retraction notice explaining the reason
- Archive or remove the original content from public view
